The Nines
This thought-provoking movie is divided into three chapters concerning three different men whose lives intertwine in the most
bizarre and mysterious ways. "The Prisoner" tells the story of a popular Hollywood TV actor named Gary (Ryan Reynolds) who
becomes distraught after being dumped by his girlfriend. To cope with the sharp pain of the breakup, he drinks and uses
crack cocaine, then decides to burn her belongings but uses too much lighter fluid and burns down his house. After his
escapade Gary ends up living under home arrest and the supervision of a cheery, serious publicist, Margaret (Melissa
McCarthy), who moves him into the empty house of a television writer. He befriends an attractive next-door neighbor, Sarah
(Hope Davis), and mysteriously becomes haunted by the number nine. "Reality Television" focuses on Gavin (Ryan
Reynolds), the house's owner who is away in Canada. He is shooting a supernatural network television drama starring his
best friend Melissa McCarthy.
Gone Baby Gone
When a four-year-old girl, Amanda McCready (Madeline O'Brien), goes mysteriously missing in Dochester, one of Boston's
toughest neighborhoods, and the local police fail to solve the case, her aunt, Beatrice McCready (Amy Madigan), turn to two
private investigators for help. Patrick Kenzie (Casey Affleck) and Angie Gennaro (Michelle Monaghan) reluctantly start an
investigation as they have little experience with this type of case. But they succeed in getting on the trail of the girl's abductors
due to criminal contacts. They discover that Amanda's drug-addicted mother, Helen (Amy Ryan), and her boyfriend cleaned out
one of the local drug dealers who in revenge kidnapped the kid. They promise to pay him back in exchange for the girl;
however, the switch goes horribly awry. Patrick and Angie come to realize that they have taken on the perilous job but their
professional arrogance forces them to see it through.

pregnant wife Saskia, Rembrandt has reluctantly agreed to paint the Amsterdam Musketeer Militia in a group portrait that will
later become to be known as The Nightwatch. He soon discovers that there is a conspiracy afoot with the Amsterdam
merchants playing at soldiers maneuvering for financial advantage and personal power in, that time, the richest city in the
Western World. Rembrandt stumbles on a foul murder. Confident in the birth of a longed-for son and heir, Rembrandt is
determined to expose the conspiring murderers and builds his accusation meticulously in the form of the commissioned
painting, uncovering the seamy and hypocritical side to Dutch Society in the Golden Age.
Hot Fuzz
When jealous superior officers transfer London's successful constable Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) to the remote sleepy
town of Sandford, he tries to accommodate himself to a seemingly crime-free life in the village as well as to his oafish partner,
Danny Butterman(Nick Frost). However, a series of ghastly crimes that rocks the town make Nicholas realize that Sandford is
not what it seems at first glance. Angel and the overzealous Butterman set out to solve the murder cases.
Living Hell
All his life schoolteacher Frank Sears (Johnathon Schaech) has carried with him a strange scar given to him by his mother
before she committed suicide. The markings lead Frank to a top secret Cold War military project where an unstoppable,
malignant organism is unleashed. Unaware that the creature feeds on light and energy, and moves with exponential speed,
the army prepares to deploy its most sinister of all weapons - a nuclear bomb. Facing certain global catastrophe, Frank
discovers his father had a diabolical connection to the creature's origin. With a ticking nuclear clock, Frank, along with the
help of a hazmat specialist Carrie Freeborn (Erica Leerhsen), must confront the grim reality that only he is capable of
stopping this living hell.
Mr. Brooks
Mr. Earl Brooks (Kevin Costner) — a respectable family man, a prosperous businessman, a generous philanthropist, one of

to be caught napping. But one day Mr. Brooks ends up embroiled in the sinister agenda of an opportunistic, voyeuristic
photographer, Mr. Smith (Dane Cook), who has accidentally witnessed the sadistic crime and now wants to adopt Earl's
methods so as to become a killer himself. Meanwhile, hotshot police detective Tracy Atwood (Demi Moore) is on Earl's trail...
My Daughter's Secret
Justine (Nina Dobrev) is a teenage girl who lives a normal life, loving her mother, dating a boy... until one day she becomes
an unwilling accomplice of a robbery. Moreover, the robbed store is the one Justine's mother (Jennifer Grant) works in, and
the robbers are Justine's troublesome boyfriend (Steve Byers) and his brother. The girl suffers morally being torn apart
between revealing the apalling secret to her mother and sending her boyfriend to jail.
In the Valley of Elah
When Hank Deerfield is told by the military that his son Mike, who only recently returned from a tour of duty in Iraq, has gone
AWOL he travels to the military base to see if he can make any sense of the young man's disappearance. Hank is himself a
retired military investigator and is frustrated by both the military and the civilian police's apparent lack of interest in the case.
In the end he does manage to get help from Det. Emily Sanders and together they piece together the events that led to
Mike's disappearance. In the end, this is a story of how war dehumanizes individuals to the point where the taking of life
makes no sense and has no purpose.
Powerful supernatural forces are unleashed when a young architect (Kelly Reilly) becomes pregnant after moving to an
isolated and mysterious valley to build a house. And when the neighbouring farmers take against the unborn child, it's her
very survival that is threatened.
